South Carolina faces persistent challenges with crime and corrections, ranking 42nd nationally. Major Lisa Davey believes that effective crime reduction begins with addressing root causes—supporting families through quality education, after-school programs, mentoring, and access to mental health and drug treatment. By investing in prevention and diversion programs, we can reduce the number of non-violent offenders entering the prison system while saving taxpayer dollars.

South Carolina consistently ranks near the bottom in national education metrics, currently at 43rd. Major Davey emphasizes the need to provide proper resources, fair compensation for educators, and smaller class sizes to ensure every student has the opportunity to succeed. Investing in public schools today equips students for well-paying jobs and a thriving local economy tomorrow.

Women’s Reproductive Rights & Personal Freedoms

Major Davey is committed to protecting women’s rights to make informed healthcare decisions. The proposed state bill S.323 would criminalize women and medical providers, removing personal choice and placing control in the hands of the state. She strongly believes in upholding autonomy and access to safe, legal healthcare.

My mission is to bring common-sense solutions and accountable leadership to the people of South Carolina’s House District 67.

I am committed to reducing crime by supporting strong community policing and public safety initiatives, reducing recidivism, ensuring every child has access to a high-quality education that prepares them for success, and investing in the infrastructure our families and businesses depend on to thrive.

I will fight for greater government transparency and oversight, so that the people- not special interests- are at the center of every decision made.
